On 24.09.2023, in a continuous barrage of attacks the Punjab Police officials has yet again desecrated an another Ahmadiyya place of worship in Bedaadpur Wirkan near Muridke in District Sheikhupura. The police destroyed the minarets of the said place of worship during night time.
On 28.08.2023 the TLP carried out a huge protest consisting of 1000 men outside the DPO office Sheikhupura. They demanded that all the minarets of Ahmadiyya places of worship in the entire district should be destroyed by 11 Rabi-ul-Awwal or else they would destroy themselves.
The said place of worship was built before 1984. The LHC has clearly stated that Ahmadiyya places of worship built Pre-Ordinance XX of 1984 are legal and hence they can neither be razed nor altered. Despite being shown this Order the authorities carried out with their actions.
The Punjab Police officials after bowing down to the pressure of the TLP protesters has started taking action against the Ahmadiyya places of worship in District Sheikhupura and has yet illegally desecrated 4 Ahmadiyya places of worship in the past week in this District alone.
The respected PM after the tragic incident of Jaranwala expressed his utmost commitment that he stands by every religious community and that if anyone threatens their security they would have to answer to the State. The Ahmadiyya Community still awaits for the PM to take action.
