FAISALABAD: The Christian Journalists Association of Pakistan (CJAP) marked a significant milestone with the establishment of a new body in Faisalabad. CJAP coordinator Kashif Nawab along with other key executive members, including Nasir Jameel and Sheba Gill made important appointments.
The inauguration ceremony of CJAP Faisalabad Chapter, witnessed the announcement of cabinet members through official notifications, handed over by Akmal Bhatti, Chairman of Minorities Alliance Pakistan, among the elected officials.
The event had the presence of the notable figures of the city, including Senior Pastor Emric Joseph and Bishop Farooq Saad, they delivered talks emphasizing on the diverse composition and peace building approach in media policies. They also request the support for CJAP’s mission from the various stakeholders.
Founder Kashif Nawab expressed gratitude for the new journalists joining CJAP, acknowledged the challenges journalists face in bringing news to the public. He also highlighted CJAP as a valuable tool for Christian journalists, providing a strong platform for them to work fearlessly for their Christian community.
Akmal Bhatti, addressing the Christian journalists, urged them to be the voice of their community within the CJAP caravan, encouraging them to overcome obstacles in Faisalabad. The newly appointed CJAP officials included the Vice President Nadeem Gill, General Secretary Dr. Salamat, Joint Secretary Aqeel Parvez, Finance Secretary Younis Shehzad, and Information Secretary Gamaliel Dogra.
During the event, heartfelt notes of gratitude were extended to President CJAP of Faisalabad, Shamoun Saad, by the new members including Rashid Khalid, Rubina Khokhar, Miss Maria, Shahbaz Gosh, and others.
CJAP reaffirms its commitment to providing a robust platform for Christian journalists, empowering them to serve their community without fear and ensured all standing in solidarity with their endeavors.
